Romaleos 2 developed by Nike was created for Olimpic Games 2012 in London. Against their predecessors, there are a lot of improvements. For example, better flexibility in front of the shoe, make it lighter by using Nike Power Bridge and create a special outsole that makes better heel durability.  As a result, we have one of the best weightlifting shoes in history.

CONSTRUCTION

High quality is the advantage of these shoes and its also very rugged. There is a big insistence for feet fitting, stability, and firmness, but with cooperation with a flexible point.
For this compromise, Nike achieves with two strong belts in the right places.

The heel is one of the most important things on weightlifting shoes. Nike Romaleos 2 have 1,9 cm (0,75 inch ) height heels.

Integrated lacing of laces is one of the specialties of this model. It is very durable and also comfortable. On the last hole for laces, there is plastic armor, so there is no place for " cutting laces into the surrounding material.

Shoes also have a side stability system for better stability. Just a very few types of weightlifting shoes use this technology. For example (Adidas AdiPower, Adidas Leistung Rio, and some FastLifts from Inov8).

MATERIAL

Outsole - rubber
Heel -  made from very durable TPU (Thermoplastic Urethan)
Lining - textile - airy and well-permeable

Shoe upper - is made of synthetic material. It is very durable and impervious. For this reason, there are few ventilation "holes" for a better feeling in training. On the other side, synthetic material is good for cleaning and resistance against dirt.

 

WHO ARE THEY FOR?

Shoes are designed primarily for advanced weightlifters, which have some experience with heavy training.

Romaleos 2 are dimensioned on heavier bar exercise. For  professional competitors is one of the best choices
Next, Romaleos are suitable for those who have wider feet.

These shoes are not good for people with narrow feet (here we recommend weightlifting shoes from Adidas).
They absolutely wrong for deadlifts, and flexible workouts like rope skipping, lunges, etc.
